Suspect in Custody After Two Southgate Officers Shot at Apartment Complex

The confrontation that took place in Southgate on Thursday, June 19, after which two police officers were shot, was a tense one. At around 4 p.m., an incident occurred at the Village on the Park apartments, which are situated on Village Park Drive close to Northline Road.

The police officials on the scene affirmed that the cops were both shot in the legs and were then immediately taken to a Dearborn hospital. Lately, they are said to be in a stable condition and under medical attention.

The latter was captured around 9 p.m. by allegedly jumping out of a window in his escape attempt.
