Mega Mentors Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes Set to Inspire The Voice Season 27 Contestants
The NBC Voice singing competition television hit has brought two superstar coaches onboard for Season 27: Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes. They are added to the show’s solid coaching team already, never mind their history of experience and musicianship, to guide competition contestants through the playoffs. For Season 27, mentoring roles are especially relevant because they bring the contestants into the live shows with great stakes in which they decide who gets into the live shows.
Crow and Rimes will also be “mega mentors” this season as well as the best coaches. Sheryl Crow will be working with coaches Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé, and LeAnn Rimes will be working with John Legend and Adam Levine. Each team has all five contestants, and it’s the mentors’ responsibility to give some good skills and ideas to the artists as a precursor to the most significant performances of their lives.
The mega mentors have a big role to be played since the artists are approaching the live performances. Having their credibility at stake, Crow and Rimes will bring personal insight, shaping the contestants’ performances to a certain extent, polishing their stage presence, and shaping their voice. Their influence will surely shape the contestants’ performances left behind, as the coaches get to choose whose performers in their team will stay.
This is a spin-off of Season 26 when rock legend Sting and past coach Jennifer Hudson appeared on the show as guest mentors. While Crow is a newcomer to The Voice universe, Rimes is highly experienced since she has coached on the UK and Australian versions of the show. Such a global background makes Rimes well placed to coach and mentor artists of all types of music.
In addition to Crow and Rimes, the show also employed a cast of celebrity battle advisers for the season, such as actress Kate Hudson, songwriter Coco Jones, Broadway singer Cynthia Erivo, and country group Little Big Town. Battle advisers work and consult with contestants during the battle rounds and are pitted against other contestants in order to earn a spot on the show.
Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes’ inclusion is The Voice’s virtue since both of them possess a successful history and global reputation in the music world. With hits such as “All I Wanna Do” and “If It Makes You Happy,” Crow brings depth missing in the show, tested and proven by different genres such as pop, rock, country, and blues. Her talent for identifying artists and offering advice from a personal reservoir of expertise will prove to be invaluable to the contestants.
Rimes, on her part, built a career as a country music star on the back of the success of her platinum-selling debut hit “Blue” and went on to build a genre-defying career as a country-pop and adult contemporary artist. Her musicianship and discerning ear for music make her the best individual to handle the young singers, particularly those who would like to lengthen their vocal range and potential. With having been a mentor already on The Voice spin-offs in other countries, Rimes is already familiar with how the competition goes and can leverage her experience to prepare the contestants better for the tougher part of the competition.
Season 27 of The Voice will be a rollercoaster ride as Crow and Rimes bring their voices, talent, and experience to the table to mentor the talented singers. They bring new dynamics to the already lavish lineup of coaches and mentors, and the energetic vibe that will surely come in handy for the contestants.
April 28 playoff start is a time that’s turning and getting better as previous contenders try in every way possible to qualify to live show rounds. With even more on the line, as led and advised by mega coaches and celeb mega mentors Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes, there’s even more to lose. Voice enthusiasts have something to look forward to in terms of a season full of awe-inspiring performances, tear-jerking moments, and some tearing choices as the coaches select among the best-performing artists from their teams.
The Voice has been annual television staple because of its phenomenal performances, heart-wrenching moments, and the awesome chemistry of mentors and advisees. Getting Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes as the super mentors is the cream of the crop, so nobody would ever forget this season’s run.
