Mass Shooting at North Carolina House Party Leaves 1 Dead, 11 Injured
A late-night house party in Hickory, North Carolina, was the scene of a mass shooting that turned terrible early on Sunday. A person was shot dead, and at least 11 people were injured.
The event occurred at around 12:45 a.m. in the Mountain View community of southwest Catawba County, which is about an hour drive northwest of Charlotte. The report sent the police in search of a place where multiple people were affected by the shooting, and the officers arrived at a property located on Walnut Acres Drive.
Locating where the victims were, the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office coordinated everything as the ambulances were sent out with a plethora of the community’s citizens in a critical condition. One death has been confirmed, and the other left person is still in danger of losing their life. The other victims of this horrific act are receiving medical care in the surrounding hospitals, with most of them in grave conditions.
Local law enforcement, as well as the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, are involved in uncovering the incident. No arrests have been made for the moment and the authorities did not give any information about the suspect or the cause of the crime.
