Barry County Fire District Adds New Fire Truck to Its Fleet
MONETT, Mo. – Good news for the Barry County Monett Rural Fire District (MRFD) – they’ve just recently acquired a brand-new fire truck for their department!
MRFD recently jubilantly posted on Facebook that a brand new 2025 Freightliner tanker-pumper is officially housed at their Station 1. The new apparatus is a giant leap in the correct direction for the department, allowing them to more effectively serve the community with the best technology.
The newly purchased truck had been acquired by the fire district Board of Directors last September 2024. Finally, after months of planning and preparation, the new truck is ready to roll.
This new purchase will be replacing a 1992 tanker that has been a reliable workhorse for the department for many years. Although the old truck did well for the district, MRFD is looking forward to proceeding with new gear that will improve their emergency response.
It’s always great to see local departments putting money into better equipment to get their communities safer!
