What Is the Central Point about Scouting School?

The three sessions will be addressing different tasks, and the sessions will be held over the course of the growing season, which will enable the participants to witness the changes made in the field. This not only makes your learning double speed but also allows you to take back knowledge that can be immediately applied in your fields.
When and Where?
The venue for the event is the Kellogg Biological Station, whose address is 3700 E Gull Lake Drive, Hickory Corners, MI 49060. Thus in the very heart of Barry County, thus having the advantage of easy accessibility to people coming from all the corners of Michigan.
This is the itinerary of the dates and the times:
- Wednesday, May 14 – 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 18 – 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 16 – 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The first day is an all-day session to teach all the students the fundamentals, like weed identification, scouting methods, pattern tactics, and so on, to put everyone on the same level. There will also be a lot of reference materials and tools distributed to give away to use at home. And, of course, lunch is provided that day!
The next two are morning sessions, but no less important. And you need to be in the field so that you can become proficient in observing and solving real-time problems like the disease of a new crop and infestations by pests. This exercise makes your problem identification skills real and thus strong.
