The NWS gaylord office further reports that a rain shower is expected to occur in some parts of northern Michigan in the morning and move towards the southeast. After the rain, the sky is believed to clear, leaving some parts of the country partly to mostly sunny. Best of all, besides that the majority of Michigan will remain rain-free until the weekend is late.

What’s the weather like in different parts of Michigan?

  • Grand Rapids: The temperature will drop to around 68°F, cooler than Tuesday. The highs for the rest of the week should be in the 70s, which is fairly nice for the people there.
  • Southeast Michigan (including Detroit): The warmth before the cold front will be high, with the temperature possibly getting to 87°F today. Be prepared for a drop to the low 70s on Thursday, the weekend temperatures will mostly be around the mid-70s.
  • Northern Lower Peninsula: It will be a bit colder, in the 60s today, but after that, the temperature will increase to the 70s during the week which is very good for the people there.
  • Marquette (Upper Peninsula): Marquette (Upper Peninsula): Expect cooler weather with highs in the low 50s only today.
